Without Saturn Portable Diagnostic Tool (PDT)

  1. Remove temperature sensor. Connect an oil pressure gauge to line pressure test port (temperature sensor connection). See Figure . With engine idling in Park and transaxle at operating temperature, line pressure should be 58-72 psi (400-500 kPa).
  2. Remove line actuator fuse (TRS LP, 7.5 amp). With engine idling in Park, line pressure should be 218-245 psi (1500-1690 kPa). If line pressure is too high or too low, see SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Using Sealant (21485278) on transaxle temperature sensor threads, install sensor to transaxle case. Clear PCM memory to remove any stored codes.
