Diagnostic Aids

Review Malfunction (MALF) history using scan tool. Ensure transaxle connector is clean and tight.

An open circuit between PCM and actuator will result in 3rd gear to be stuck on. A grounded circuit between PCM and actuator will result in no 3rd gear.
