Removal & Disassembly

Remove engine front cover. See FRONT COVER & TIMING CHAIN  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using an impact driver and a T-30 Torx bit, remove and discard oil pump cover plate screws. Remove cover plate and rotors. See Figure. To remove oil pump relief valve, use a slide hammer and Relief Valve Puller Adapter (SA9103E).
