Diagnostic Aids

  1. If Code 77 is set, reverse solenoid connectors and clear code. If Code 77 sets again, problem is in wiring or ACM. If Code 81 sets, problem is in solenoid.
  2. Suspected intermittents or opens at connectors can be detected with diagnostic service probe which permits voltage to be measured on wires without unplugging connectors. Ensure all terminals make good connection.
  3. When diagnosing intermittent problems, select MALF HISTORY from scan tool ABS menu. Supplemental data can be used to duplicate problem.
  4. Measure by-pass solenoid resistance. Resistance should be about 3.5 ohms.
