Headlamp Switch - Static Test

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S30 Headlamp Switch.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal 5 and the ground terminal 6 with the switch in the AUTOMATIC LIGHT position.
  3. If not the specified value, replace the S30 Headlamp Switch.
  4. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal 4 and the ground terminal 6 with the switch in the AUTOMATIC LIGHT position.
  5. If not the specified value, replace the S30 Headlamp Switch.
  6. Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal 3 and the ground terminal 6 with the switch in the PARKING LIGHT position.
  7. If not the specified value, replace the S30 Headlamp Switch.
  8. Test for less than 2.0 Ω of resistance between the signal terminal 5 and the ground terminal 6 with the switch in the OFF position.
  9. If not the specified value, replace the S30 Headlamp Switch.
  10. Test for less than 2.0 Ω of resistance between the signal terminal 4 and the ground terminal 6 with the switch in the LOW BEAM position.
  11. If not the specified value, replace the S30 Headlamp Switch.
  12. Test for less than 2.0 Ω of resistance between the signal terminal 3 and the ground terminal 6 with the switch in the PARKING LIGHT position.
  13. If not the specified value, replace the S30 Headlamp Switch.
