Circuit/System Verification

  1. Observe the driver information center while opening and closing each vehicle door. The driver information center should display the door ajar message only when the door is open.
  2. If the driver information center displays the door ajar message when a door is closed, refer to DOOR AJAR INDICATOR MALFUNCTION .
  3. If the door ajar is functioning normal, refer to COURTESY LAMPS MALFUNCTION .
  4. Ignition ON, cycle the Dome/Reading Lamps switch in all positions, observe the scan tool Interior/Courtesy Lighting Master Switch parameter. The parameter should change between Door, Cancel and On.
  5. If the parameter does not change, refer to DOME LAMP SWITCH MALFUNCTION .
