Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the appropriate headlamp assembly.
- Test for less than 5 Ω between the E13L Headlamp Assembly - Left or E13R Headlamp Assembly - Right ground circuit terminal 8 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Test for less than 5 Ω between the K26 Headlamp Control Module ground circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, headlamps ON, connect a test lamp between the K26 Headlamp Control Module ignition circuit terminal 10 and ground. The test lamp should turn ON.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X2 harness connector at the K26 Headlamp Control Module
- Ignition ON, connect a test lamp between the ignition circuit terminal 9 X1 at the K26 Headlamp Control Module and ground. The test lamp should turn ON.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the appropriate headlamp assembly. Verify that the customer concern is not still present.
- If the customer concern is still present, replace the K26 Headlamp Control Module.
