Head-up Display Switch Malfunction
- Perform COMPONENT TESTING before Head-up Display Switch Malfunction.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S27 Head-Up Display Switch.
- Test for less than 5 Ω between the Head-up display switch low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the Head-up display switch low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the P29 Head-Up Display.
- Ignition ON, verify that all scan tool Head-Up Switch parameter are Undefined.
- If any not Undefined, test the Head-up display switch signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the P29 Head-Up Display.
- Ignition ON, install a 604 Ω resistance between the signal circuit's connection 6 for the windshield display's switch and the low reference circuit's connection 1 for the windshield display's switch. Check that the diagnostic tool parameter Sida Switch is Active.
- If not Active, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the P29 Head-Up Display.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the P29 Head-Up Display.
