Hazard warning lights

The hazard warning lights can be activated no matter what position the switch is in. The hazard warning light switch is permanently grounded. When the hazard warning light switch is set to the ON position, ground is fed through the hazard warning light switch signal circuit to BCM. BCM feeds battery voltage to all direction indicators in an ON and OFF cycle. When the hazard warning light switch is activated, BCM sends a serial data message to the instrument cluster and requests that both direction indicators must be switched ON and OFF.
