Automatic headlamp levelling

The automatic headlamp levelling system consists of the following components:

The automatic headlamp levelling system maintains the vertical position of the automatic headlamps when load and driving conditions change. The headlamp control module receives input data from the front and rear sensors for headlamp levelling to determine vehicle inclination. The headlamp levelling sensors send output data to the headlamp control module when the car's suspension is compressed and pressed back. The headlamp control module calculates the difference in vehicle inclination and sends a command to the HID lamp ballast unit. The ballast unit then steers the headlamp levelling actuator to the position requested by the headlamp control module. The automatic headlamp levelling system also monitors the performance of the HID lamp and ballast unit. When the headlamp switch is in the ON position, the headlamps move down and then up again to the center position.
