Car with navigation radio

  1. With the ignition ON, disconnect the antenna coaxial cable from T15 signal distributor navigation antenna.
  2. With the ignition ON, test for 4.5-5.5 V between the antenna coaxial cable center pin and outer shield.
  3. If the value is outside the specified range, replace the coaxial cable.
  4. With the ignition OFF, reconnect T15 signal distributor navigation antenna. Disconnect the antenna coaxial cable from TG4 Mobile telephone, navigation and digital radio antenna.
  5. With the ignition ON, test for 4.5-5.5 V between the antenna coaxial cable center pin and outer shield.
  6. If the value is outside of the specified range, replace TG4 mobile telephone, navigation and digital radio antenna.
  7. With the ignition ON, test whether there is less than 1 V between the antenna coaxial cable center pin and ground.
  8. If the value is above the specified voltage limit, replace the coaxial cable.
  9. With the ignition ON, test whether there is less than 1 V between the antenna coaxial cable outer shield and ground.
  10. If the value is above the specified voltage limit, replace the coaxial cable.
  11. Test for infinite resistance between the coaxial center terminal of the antenna and ground.
  12. If the value is less than the specified value, replace the coaxial cable.
  13. Test for infinite resistance between the antenna coaxial cable outer shield and ground.
  14. If the value is less than the specified value, replace the coaxial cable.
  15. Test that resistance is less than 5 Ω at the center conductor for the mobile telephone antenna from end to end.
  16. If the value is above the specified value, replace the antenna coaxial cable.
  17. Test that resistance is less than 5 Ω at the coaxial cable outer shield for the mobile telephone antenna from end to end.
  18. If the value is above the specified value, replace the antenna coaxial cable.
  19. Test for infinite resistance between the antenna coaxial cable center conductor and the outer shield.
  20. If the value is less than the specified value, replace the antenna coaxial cable.
  21. If the coaxial cable tests normal, replace the mobile telephone antenna T4G.
