Bypass valve check, B207E/L: Checks

  1. Detach the vacuum hose from the bypass valve.

  2. Connect pressure/vacuum pump (30 14 883 Pressure/vacuum pump) and generate vacuum pressure in the valve.

  3. Check that the diaphragm is intact. If the diaphragm is damaged, the vacuum is relieved.
  4. Pump up an overpressure in the valve.
  5. Check that the diaphragm is intact. If the diaphragm is damaged, the overpressure is relieved.
  6. Detach the pump.
  7. Connect the vacuum hose.
