Main task

The OnStar control panel is located in the dashboard to the left beneath the ACC panel. It contains three buttons and an indicator lamp. The control panel's 6-pin connector is connected to the OnStar control module via the car's wiring harness.

Keypad:

• OnStar Service button - used to contact the OnStar Call Centre
• Emergency button - used in the event of an emergency to contact the OnStar Call Centre
• Handset - used to end a phone call or to answer a call from the OnStar Call Centre. The button is also used for Personal Calling Services.

Indicator lamp:

• Steady green light - OnStar system is active.
• Flashing green light - call in progress.
• Steady red light - system is not working properly.
• Flashing red light - selected service is active, but there is a fault in the system.
