To fit

  1. Grease the gasket and place it on fitting tool for crankshaft seal, flywheel end 83 94 884 and screw it onto the crankshaft. Press in the gasket by screwing together the tool. The gasket is correctly positioned when the tool bottoms out.
  2. Fit the flywheel or driven plate.

    Tightening torques 

    • flywheel 80 Nm (59 lbf ft) 
    • driven plate 95 Nm (70 lbf ft). 
  3. Fit the clutch and pressure plate, see CLUTCH SYSTEM .
  4. (man.) Fit the gearbox, see TO FIT  under manual gearbox.

    (aut.) Fit the gearbox, see COMPLETE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION .
