Technical Description: Sound: General

The SID has an integral speaker to reproduce sound for various functions. The SID activates acoustic signals for its own functions and on request from other systems connected to the bus.

The signals are assigned priority as follows:

• Warning
• Time alarm (SID 2 only)
• Speed warning (SID 2 only, legal requirement ME)
• Reminder (warning, key, parking lights and seat belt)
• Confirmation (after pressing button)
• Direction indicators (TICK TACK)
