Checking the wiring harness

Fault diagnosis concerns a break or short in the connected wiring harness.

Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in several directions to detect intermittent open circuits and short circuits. Note the reaction of the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool during the check.
