To remove

  1. Undo the screws in the wheel housing, 2 on each side.
  2. Open the boot lid.
  3. Remove the luggage compartment sill.

  4. Fold away the luggage compartment carpet and remove the seals. The old seals must be discarded and replaced by new ones:

  5. Remove the nuts holding the bumper.
  6. Remove the protective mouldings using 82 93 474 Removal tool.

  7. Remove the bolts from the inside and hold the nuts through the 2 holes behind the protective moulding.

    Come cars have press nuts and in such cases it is sufficient to just remove the bolts.

  8. Detach the towbar connectors and the bolts holding the towbar to the body.

  9. Together with an assistant, pull out the bumper from the clips and lift the bumper out backwards.
  10. For cars equipped with Saab Parking Assistance (SPA):  Remove the connector.
    IMPORTANT: Be careful to avoid damaging the paintwork.
