To remove

  1. Remove the bumper. See REAR BUMPER, 5D  . Lay it on a well protected workbench.
  2. Remove the upper portion of the protective shell by loosening the bolts. Detach the clips on the bottom edge of the protective shell and remove it by pulling straight back.
  3. Remove the two large cellular blocks from the sides of the protective shell.

  4. Detach the bumper rail from the 14 clips securing it to the protective shell, removing the small cellular blocks at the same time.
  5. Loosen the cellular block from the protective shell (wedged into the protective shell's retaining wedges).
