Radiator crossmember: Fitting

  1. Grind clean the surfaces to be welded on the spare part and on the body.
  2. Drill holes for plug-welding in the spare part.
  3. Apply welding primer to the surfaces that are to be spot-welded.
  4. Place the radiator crossmember in position and fix it with some welding clamps. Close the bonnet and adjust the position of the spare part.
  5. Weld on the radiator crossmember.
  6. Remove any remaining welding primer. Welding primer reduces adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.
  7. Apply primer to all bare metal surfaces.
  8. Seal joints and seams with sealant.
