Outer sill reinforcement: Fitting

- Cut the new sill reinforcement at the rear edge of the square hole so that it corresponds with the existing joints in the body.
- Align any sheet metal or panel damage.
- Grind clean the surfaces on the body and the new sill reinforcement that are to be welded.
- Apply welding primer to the surfaces that are to be welded.
- Position the sill reinforcement and fix it with a few welding clamps.
- Plug-weld it to the A pillar reinforcement and all-weld the rear joint.
- Grind down the welds on the outer sill that are to be welded.
- Apply primer to both sides of the weld. Use Standox 1K Fullprimer.
- Fit the outer sill.
