A-pillar, lower part: Fitting

- Drill holes in the A-pillar reinforcement for plug-welding.
- Grind clean all the surfaces on the body and the new A-pillar reinforcement that are to be welded.
- Apply welding primer to the surfaces that are to be plug-welded. Use Terosan Zincspray.
- Put the A-pillar reinforcement in position and fix it with a few welding clamps.
- Plug-weld on the A-pillar reinforcement.
- Grind the welds.
- Remove any remaining welding primer. Welding primer reduces adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.
- Apply primer to all bare metal surfaces. Use Standox 1K Fullprimer.
- Roughly cut the outer sheet spare part.
- Drill holes for plug welding in the outer sheet and grind the surfaces that are to be welded on the outer sheet and body.
- Apply welding primer to the surfaces that are to be spot welded or plug welded. Use Terosan Zinkspray.
- Measure up the outer plate and cut it so that it fits against the joints.
- Fit the outer panel and fixate with a couple of welding clamps.
- Plug-weld and spot-weld the outer sheet.

- All-weld the joints.
- Grind the welds.
- Weld on the reinforcement on the outside of the wheel housing.

- Remove any remaining welding primer. Welding primer reduces adhesion of paint, filler and sealant.
- Apply primer to all ground surfaces. Use Standox 1K Primer.
- Seal joints and sheet metal flanges with sealant. Use Terostat 1K-PUR.
- Apply anti-corrosion agent to internal surfaces after painting. Use Terotex HV 400 or Mercasol 1.
