If the driver's door is locked with the key within the 30 seconds it takes for the tailgate to be locked automatically, the locking procedure will be the same as for "LOCKING ALL DOORS ".

When the key is turned in the driver's door, pin 56 on the TWICE control module will be grounded.

A short voltage pulse (0.8 sec.) is fed to the tailgate lock motor from TWICE control module pin 51 via relay 594, which activates when the coil is grounded by TWICE control module pin 2. The tailgate lock motor will then lock the tailgate.

The lock motor is grounded on pins 67 and 44 of the TWICE control module.
