Locking and unlocking the tailgate: Unlock
The tailgate is unlocked with the switch on the driver's door or the tailgate button on the remote control. If the car is locked but without electrical power, the tailgate can still be unlocked, see EMERGENCY OPENING, TAILGATE .
The tailgate can also be unlocked mechanically with the lock button by the inner handle but then the alarm will then not be disarmed if it was previously armed. If the TSL (Theft Security Lock) is active, the tailgate cannot be unlocked using the lock button by the inner handle.
The switches in the driver's door do not work when the car is locked from outside or when the TSL lock (Theft Security Lock) is activated.
