To fit

  1. Put the hinge in position.
  2. Screw on the two bolts on the outside of the body.
  3. Screw in the bolt on the inside.

  4. Lubricate the gas spring ball sockets with Gleitmo 805 (part no. 30 06 442) and fit the gas spring.
  5. Fit the tailgate, refer to TAILGATE 5D, COMPLETE .
  6. Adjust the tailgate, refer to TAILGATE 5D, ADJUSTMENT .
  7. Fit the moulding around the tailgate opening.
