  1. Remove the door trim.
  2. Remove the water separator using 82 93 474 REMOVAL TOOL .
  3. Remove the three screws holding the lock unit.
  4. Detach the wire to the interior door handle.
  5. Pull down the lock unit slightly to detach the pushrod.

  6. Lift out the lock unit and unplug the connector.
  7. Detach the wires for the door handle and locking rod from the lock unit.
