The SID sends out the following information

SID INFORMATION

Information Value/Units Used by The value depends on the following sensor input, signal or function
Info Disp Lamp ON/OFF MIU For text message. MIU lights the lamp on request from SID.
Unit Metric, Imperial (° F), Imperial (°C), US ACC The unit is selected via a button.
Language English, German, French, Italian, Swedish, Spanish ACC The language is selected by a button. SID sends information on the language selected.
Steering wheel controls VOL -, VOL +, SRC, SEEK, << SEEK, NXT Audio The button control module input. SID sends information when a button is pressed (activated) on the steering wheel controls. Applies if the Saab Audio System is fitted to the car.
Rheostat level 0- 100% Audio, ACC, DICE, MIU Rheostat control module input. SID sends information to control the instrument and control lighting
Rheostat Night Panel 0- 100% Audio, ACC, DICE, MIU The rheostat control module input reduced by a fixed value. Used for button lighting.
Night Panel ON/OFF Audio, ACC, DICE, MIU Button. Night Panel function is activated and de-activated.
Clear ON/OFF SPA Button
Display lighting 0- 100% ACC, MIU Lighting value for all displays. The rheostat control input or light sensor, highest value.
Cabin light intensity Lux MIU Light sensor. Used by MIU to control the light intensity of indicator lamps.
Time engine switched off Minutes ACC +15. ACC uses the value to calculate the settings when starting.
Outdoor temperature °C ACC, TWICE, DICE, ECM (4- cyl diesel) External temperature, control module adjustment. SID sends information to be used by other systems.
Washer fluid level low ON/OFF DICE Washer fluid level. Low level is indicated by a level switch in the washer fluid reservoir when the level is below approx. 1 litre. SID shows the message "WASHER FLUID LEVEL LOW  ". DICE does not start the headlamp washer pump on low washer fluid level.
Diagnostics communication - DICE The control module must be under power and the bus lines intact. See BUS AND DIAGNOSTICS COMMUNICATION .
