Washer fluid level sensor: General

The level sensor consists of a magnetic float arm and a sensor mounted in the washer fluid reservoir.

The SID unit applies B+ to the level sensor via pin 21 and the sensor s grounded to grounding point G30. At a low level, the level sensor contacts close and the SID unit pin 21 is grounded. At a normal level, the level sensor contacts are open and the circuit to ground is broken.

The function produces a CHECK message on the SID unit display (70 second delay).
