Checklist for changing turbocharger and engine control module: Checklist
- Describe the fault symptom
- Connect Tech 2.
- Turn off A/C or ACC and let the engine idle. Coolant temperature should be over 80° C.NOTE: Diagnostic trouble codes must not be erased.
- Read and note any diagnostic trouble codes:
- Select "Engine" - "Trionic" - "Read values / Activate" in Tech 2. Read and note the following values:

The plate with the engine number is placed on the cylinder block according to WIS - Engine - Base engine, petrol - Technical data - Engine number.
To see the color of the injectors, remove the upper engine cover.
