Washer fluid level sensor: General

The level sensor consists of a magnetic float arm and a sensor mounted in the washer fluid reservoir.

SID connects B+ to the level sensor via pin 6 and the sensor is grounded at ground point G30. On low level, the level sensor contact closes and pin 6 of the SID unit is grounded. At normal level, the level sensor contact is open and the circuit to ground broken.

The function gives the CHECK message on the SID display (70 second delay). CHECK MESSAGES .
