To remove

  1. Raise the car.
  2. Remove the wheel.
  3. Remove the retaining spring from the brake caliper by prying with a screw driver while pressing the flat part of the spring.
    WARNING: Hold the retaining spring plate when removing the spring so that it can be loosened slowly. The spring can otherwise fly off with great force.

  4. Press in the piston by prying with a screwdriver between the brake disc and brake caliper.

  5. Depress the brake pedal slightly using a brake pedal clamp.
  6. Remove fuse 6 from the instrument panel electrical center 22. Instrument panel electrical center 22 (IPEC).
  7. Detach the brake hose. Plug the hose and the caliper.
  8. Remove the protective covers and the hydraulic body guide pins and lift off the body.
  9. Remove the inner brake pad from the body and the outer brake pad from the bracket.
