Hot Start Mode
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Saab 9-3 and 2000 Saab 9-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
During a warm start, cabin temperature must be reduced as soon as possible after engine start. If calculated cabin temperature is more than selected temperature, cold air will be blown out vents until cabin temperature stabilizes.
If calculated cabin temperature at head level of driver is more than 41°F (5°C) from selected temperature, warm start function will be activated. Air distribution damper will be in panel position and fan blower motor current will be 20.0 amps at start-up. If necessary, fan blower motor current will be slowly increased to 25.5 amps. When cabin temperature is less than 41°F (5°C) from selected temperature, ACC control module will return to normal operating mode.
