Fault Conditions
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Saab 9-3 and 2000 Saab 9-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
A loose or jammed damper DTC will set:
- When ACC control module moves stepping motor toward an end position and stepping motor continues more than 20 percent past expected position. This would be consistent with a loose damper.
- When stepping motor is operating within a 10-90 percent range and ACC control module detects excessive voltage usage consistent with a jammed damper. Air distribution damper stepping motor operating range is considered to be 0-100 percent. During stepping motor operation ACC control module monitors stepping motor voltage use.
- If ACC control module has not been calibrated.
- During monitoring and calibration if a malfunction is detected. Stepping motors are continuously monitored by ACC control module.
