Removal & Installation: Evaporator: Installation

- To install, reverse removal procedure. Install evaporator. If necessary, lubricate upper part of evaporator with vaseline. If installing a new evaporator, add 1.0 ounce of refrigerant oil to compressor high-pressure port. Lubricate "O" rings with synthetic vaseline. Tighten A/C pipes-to-expansion valve bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install evaporator anti-freeze sensor to evaporator low-pressure pipe with clips. Install climate control unit end cover and tighten screws. Turn ignition on and fan motor to maximum speed. Ensure that there are no condensation leaks from evaporator. Replace end cover seal if necessary. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Evacuate and charge A/C system. Check for leaks.
