To fit

  1. Lift the seat into the car and tip it backwards, put on a cable tie and plug in the 29-pin connector under the seat.
  2. Fit the seat in place and fit the front bolts without tightening them. Use 74 96 268 Thread locking adhesive  .
  3. Move the seat forward and fasten the 2 rear bolts. Use 74 96 268 Thread locking adhesive  . Fit the rails in the front guide lugs. If the seat has been emergency operated fit the angle gear  .
  4. Manual seat:  Check the legroom adjustment to make sure the seat locks on the right and left-hand sides.
  5. Tighten the retaining bolts on the rear of the seat.

    Tightening torque 24 N.m (18 lbf ft) 

  6. Slide the seat backwards.
  7. Manual seat:  Check the legroom adjustment to make sure the seat locks on the right and left-hand sides.
  8. Tighten the retaining bolts on the front of the seat.

    Tightening torque 24 N.m (18 lbf ft) 

  9. Connect the diagnostics tool and erase any diagnostic trouble codes.
