To fit

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Saab 9-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Fitting of a new bonnet-release cable is facilitated by a pull-through, consisting of a thin steel wire with a loop at the end, that is either pushed through the bulkhead or pulled through the bulkhead with the cable to be replaced.
  1. Pull the pull-through cable through the bulkhead and hook the bonnet-release cable to the loop.
NOTE: Secure with tape and lubricate the cable with vaseline to facilitate fitting of the cable.
  2. Pull the bonnet-release cable through the bulkhead. Push the cable at the same time as it is pulled.
  3. Press the release-lever housing into position.
