Oil reservoir, hydraulic unit: Fitting

- Fit the rubber seal.NOTE: Be careful not to damage the seal.
- Lubricate the rubber seal and the inside of the reservoir with new hydraulic oil.
- Fit the reservoir with mounting bolts.
- Use a funnel to top up with hydraulic oil.
- Turn the unit horizontal with the filler hole up and fill with new hydraulic oil to the MAX mark.
- Refit the plug.
- Plug in the connectors to the hydraulic unit. Lift the hydraulic unit back into place.
- Close the emergency valve. Operate the soft top with the ROOF button a few times.
- Maneuver the soft-top to the up (closed) position.
- Check the oil level by turning the hydraulic unit until the oil plug is pointing straight upwards.
Check that the oil level is between the two marks.
- Clean up any oil spills.
- Fit the hydraulic unit in the torsion box.IMPORTANT: Check that the emergency operation valve is completely closed.
- Re-position the luggage compartment mat and fit the cover.
- Connect the diagnostics tool and erase any DTCs. See TECH 2 MENU STRUCTURE.
- Maneuver the soft-top up and down through 5 complete cycles. Check for correct operation, any DTCs and oil leakage.
- Fold back the rear seat backrest.
