Vertical Adjustment: Overview

Switch on the headlamps (dipped) and check that the headlamp is correctly aligned vertically. Adjust the height of the beam to the left -hand (LHD cars) or right-hand (RHD cars) horizontal line.

Adjust vertically only to that part of the light/dark boundary that is 0-30 mm to the left (LHD) alternatively the right (RHD) of the centre line.

Align both headlamps in the same way.

Check the spread of the main beam if there are problems with headlamp adjustment.

Check the following points before carrying out adjustment.
