Lateral Adjustment

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Saab 9-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Switch on the headlamps (dipped) and check that the headlamp is correctly aligned laterally. The zone with the brightest light should be as close to the centre as possible.

For optimum alignment, the tolerance band for the light/dark boundary can be used.

Align both headlamps in the same way.

Check the spread of the main beam if there are problems with headlamp adjustment. Also check the bulb fittings.
