Parking Brake Shoes: Removal

  1. Remove the brake disc. See REAR BRAKE ROTOR  .
  2. Remove the return spring on the rear.
  3. Press out the cable holder out of the bracket and remove the cable from the lever. See Figure .
  4. Use Brake Spring Remover to remove the return springs and Hold-Down Spring Remover, removing parking brake spring to the retaining pin. See Fig 1 .
  5. Remove the brake shoes, lever and adjustment.
  6. Check the wear of the levers and the adjusting unit.
