Front Seat: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Saab 9-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Lift the seat into the car and tip it backwards, put on a cable tie and plug in the 29-pin connector under the seat.
  2. Position the seat and screw in the front bolts without tightening them.
  3. Move the seat forward and fasten the 2 rear bolts. Position the rails in the front guides. The bevel gear must be fitted if the seat has been emergency operated.
  4. On manual seat, check the legroom adjustment to make sure the seat locks on the right and left sides.
  5. Install and tighten the retaining bolts on the rear of the seat. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Slide the seat backwards.
  7. On manual seat, check the legroom adjustment to make sure the seat locks on the right and left sides.
  8. Install and tighten the retaining bolts on the front of the seat. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  9. Connect the diagnostics tool and erase any diagnostic trouble codes.
