Front Brake Rotor: Installation

NOTE: Before installation, clean the NEW brake disc and make sure the mating surface of the brake disc against the hub is free from rust, burrs, etc.
  1. Make sure the mating surface of the hub against the brake disc is free from rust and dirt when installing the brake disc. Place the brake disc on the hub and tighten the brake disc locking screw using threadlock. Tightening brake disc locking screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install the brake caliper and apply Loctite 242 (74-96-268) to the bolts. Install and tighten brake caliper bracket retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install the wheel. Tighten lug studs to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Lower the car and depress the brake pedal to press out the brake pistons. Top off with DOT 4 brake fluid as necessary.
