Front Brake Caliper: Removal

  1. Raise the car and remove the wheel.
  2. Press the brake piston back, using a pair of slip-joint pliers. See Figure .
  3. Depress the brake pedal slightly, using a brake pedal clamp. Remove fuse No. 12 for the brake lights.
  4. Undo the brake hose from the brake caliper. Plug the brake hose and the caliper.
  5. Undo the 2 brake caliper retaining bolts and remove the brake caliper.
