Front Brake Caliper: Installation

  1. Install the brake caliper, secure the bolts with Loctite 242 (74-96-268). Tighten the 2 front caliper retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install the brake hose to the brake caliper. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
    NOTE: Pay attention to how the hose is turned so that it is not installed incorrectly.
  3. Bleed the brake system. See BRAKE SYSTEM  under BLEEDING.
  4. Install the wheel. Tightening to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Lower the car and depress the brake pedal to press out the brake pistons. Top off with DOT 4 brake fluid as necessary. Install No. 12 fuse.
