Clutch & Brake Pedal Bracket: Removal

- Using Bleeding Equipment, drain the clutch system (brake fluid) through the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder.
- Unplug the connector to the alarm's hood switch, if applicable.
- Detach the main fuse box and put it to the side. See Figure .
- Detach the supply hose from the master cylinder. See Fig 1 .
- Detach the clip holding the delivery pipe at the master cylinder.
- Detach the delivery pipe.
- From the engine bay, remove the nut holding the right-hand portion of the clutch pedal bracket to the firewall.
- Remove the lower panel and the knee shield under the steering wheel. See Fig 2 .
- Remove the floor air duct and the pedal switch.
- Remove the air duct of the side defroster and the cable tie of the wiring harness.
- Remove the clip and pin from the clutch pedal. See Fig 3 .
- Remove the nut holding the clutch pedal.
- Lift out the right-hand portion of the clutch pedal bracket with the master cylinder.
- Detach the clip and remove the auxiliary spring from the clutch pedal.
- Loosen the nut under the dashboard slightly.
- Remove the nut to the clutch pedal's left-hand bracket on the outside of the firewall. See Fig 4 .
- Pull out the bracket with clutch pedal.
- Remove the clutch pedal from the bracket.
