Brake Hoses: Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 Saab 9-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
When installing NEW brake hoses, it is important that they are in the correct position so that they DO NOT come in contact with other parts of the car during suspension and steering movement. Hoses must not be twisted (entwined). The front brake hoses must be fitted while the wheels are suspended freely and pointing straight ahead.
- Connect the NEW brake hose to the brake line and install the clip.
- Install the hose to the brake caliper. Make sure the hose is turned correctly.
- Bleed the brake system. See BRAKE SYSTEM under BLEEDING.
- Install the wheels. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Check the brake hose connections for leakage.
