Rear Brake Caliper: Disassemble

  1. Remove the rear brake caliper. See REAR BRAKE CALIPER  .
  2. Remove the brake pads from rear caliper.
  3. Clean the rear brake caliper.
  4. Remove the dust caps.
    WARNING: Protect your eyes from fluid splashes. Mind your fingers when the brake piston is pressed out.
  5. Press out the brake piston with compressed air through the hose connection. Using Rear Brake Piston Remover, remove rear brake piston.
  6. Remove the piston ring.
  7. Check for damage due to wear.
