Rear parking lights: Notes

REC (701) uses the bus message regarding light switch position to activate the outputs.

REC supplies B+ voltage from pin 2 (R-D) and pin 4 (T-D) to pin 2 of the light clusters (418RL/RR). The parking lights (13RL/RR) are located in the light clusters. Power is supplied to the lamp for number plate lighting (15) from REC pin 10 (T-B).

REC supplies PWM voltage with pulse width 27% to the parking lights (13RL/RR) to reduce the power of the 21 W bulbs so that they produce light strength corresponding to a 5 W bulb. The service life of the bulbs is extended due to the lower operating voltage in combination with the more robust filament in the 21 W bulb as compared to that of a 5 W bulb.
