Reset of triggered limp-home mechanism

  1. Remove the upper engine cover.

  2. Set ignition to ON position.
  3. Reset the mechanism once the fault has been remedied. Connect the diagnostic tool and clear the DTCs. Follow the instructions in the diagnostic tool.
  4. Carefully push the spring end towards the throttle body using a pen or the like.

  5. At the same time, rotate the black toothed disc anti-clockwise using a screwdriver. A click can be heard at the stop position.

  6. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and wait at least 30 sec.
  7. Rotate the pedal arm with accelerator cable clockwise. Make sure that the throttle arm does not follow along when the pedal arm is rotated for correct reset position.

  8. Fit the upper engine cover.
