To fit

  1. Fit the solenoid.
  2. Screw in the upper screw.
  3. Tighten the lower screw (it can be difficult to reach) using a magnetic T15 bit.
  4. Spray the connector with Kontakt 61 (part no. 30 04 520). Plug in the connector and fit the rubber seal.
    IMPORTANT: When the limp home solenoid is removed, the throttle body will go into mechanical limp-home mode. Therefore, after fitting, the limp-home mechanism must be reset.
  5. Fit the cover on the throttle body pedal arm.
  6. Put the engine cover in place.
