Solenoid Valve, EVAP Shut-Off (588)

The shut-off valve is connected to the air supply connection on the EVAP canister and is powered from the main relay.

The valve is normally open.

When the engine is running, the valve is closed only during a tank integrity check.

The shut-off valve is used for OBD II diagnosis on cars with full ORVR. ORVR without tank integrity diagnosis does not have a shut-off valve.
